Running a non-profit in Canada means stretching every dollar, wearing multiple hats, and often putting your energy into people over platforms. But your mission deserves more than a broken link or an outdated homepage.

What You’ll Receive

This website grant covers a streamlined, impactful website designed specifically for small to mid-sized Canadian non-profits. You’ll get:

  • Custom WordPress website — up to 7 core pages included
  • Mobile friendly — works on any screen size
  • Basic Search Engine Optimization — so people can find you
  • Accessibility compliance —  built so everyone can participate 
  • Simple content management — easy to update by your team
  • Hosting and maintenance — a safe place for your site to thrive for 1-year

Note: This grant covers essential services to help you grow — not ongoing custom development, e-commerce, or complex integrations.

What We Ask in Return

We’re here to support your mission — and in return, we ask for a few simple things to help us keep this program sustainable for others:

  • Allow MERAK to showcase your site (with your approval)
  • Provide a testimonial or referral if you’re happy
  • Stay responsive during the project
  • This is a partnership, let’s make it an inspiring one together

Who Can Apply

This opportunity is open to organizations that:

  • Are a registered Canadian non-profit or charity
  • Have an existing website — or starting from scratch 
  • Can dedicate someone to provide content and feedback
  • Operate with values of equity, inclusion, and community impact

How to Apply

You’ll need to provide:

  • 📇 Organization Info
  • 🌐 Current Website (as applicable)
  • 🎯 Mission and Programs (Mission and Service?)
  • 💬 Statement of Need (Why? How it would help?)
  • ✍️ Consent

We’ll select one or more recipients based on:

  • The clarity of your need
  • The impact of your work
  • How well we can support your goals
